i forgot to take pictures so i can’t prove it…. but my ability to peel an orange in one piece is no longer a fluke! I did it today TWICE! and on purpose! I’m officially good at fruit!
Oh and today we made “butterfly” masks at the YMCA. The kids wore them all day… and the boys were pretending to be superheroes in them… which was super funny since the masks blocked their peripheral vision so they were bumping into things and falling over.
i wish this picture showed how stinking cute mr. CJ is.
7 of the rugrats. notice “cool guy” Anthony in the front row on the right with the “gun point”
Oh and i played hide and seek on the phone with my niece today… it was pretty much the cutest thing ever. She’s the coolest.

if we are supposed to stay away from horizontal stripes because they make us look wide… why are they everywhere? Seriously, i’d say roughly 93% of knitwear comes in a horizontal stripe.
Why are boys willing to do practically anything for a dollar? Seriously, i ate lunch with a boy today who ate an entire banana… peel and stem, for a dollar. I gagged a little. So did he, but he wouldn’t admit it….. oh yeah, and then he “slyly” took my phone and when i left i asked for it back, he pulled it out of his pocket and as he set it in my hand said “don’t sniff it.” REALLY? gross.
Why is it that even when i don’t have anything to do, i still run out of time to do anything before work.

It’s been yet another great year. We’ve had our ups and downs, and although there will be no october this year, we can hold our heads high. We won far more than most expected. We’ve fought hard, often without the help of many of our most influential members. We’ve seen the growth of many new comers and taken pride in the strides they’ve made. This season has ended much like it began. Me laying in the front seat of my car, feet out the window, enjoying a nice breeze and a frosty beverage as Mike Shannon leads us through.

i just watched ER and there was a preview for the next episode…. or for the season…. and it said the return of familiar faces… and it showed Dr. Green. DR. GREEN!!!! I love Dr. Green as much as the next guy… but are we supposed to just sit back and ignore the fact that he died of a brain tumor??? This is ER, prime time drama… not some silly daytime soap!!! Death is real in prime time i tell you, REAL!

my sparkling bathroom. it looks and smells so nice!
my new fluffy mattress cover… mmmmm cozy
the fact that my hands still smell like comet and that other lavender cleaner i use
the giant mound of pillows and blankets on my bed awaiting fresh sheets, cases, and duvet coverlets
making the perfect water/lemonade blend in the caf (seriously, that stuff in the machine is potent)
having a hyperventilating laugh in the caf at the table next to the president
having the president make an announcement that all is well and not to worry…. when talking about me
the fact that i just noticed that my chair isn’t so awesome because i’ve been sitting with my bag of text books behind me all night
my “broken toe” it’s starting to look cool. and i can bend it a little…. at least enough that i can walk almost normal and save myself foot at back cramps.

i don’t know what you call um when they’re on the outside…. but i usually get one twice a year. One in the summer and one christmas break… like clockwork. And i always get them in the left corner of my mouth. right in the crease where you wouldn’t notice it too too bad. Well i didn’t get one this summer… and i didn’t get one this past Christmas… however, one popped up saturday…. and i feel like it said… oh yeah, remember how i’ve been nice to you and haven’t shown up in over a year??? I’m gonna make up for it and TAKE OVER YOUR FACE!!!! uhg.
the lighting of this pic doesn’t do it justice… it’s like the size of a friggin quarter.

remember that time i broke my toe (last weekend)
remember that time i went cliff jumping (today)
I hurt a lot now.
the jump was about 35-40 feet. It was super fun, and my booty is a little bruised because the first time i jumped i landed a bit of my backside instead of going in straight. But it was super duper fun. the only bad part was getting back up we had to climb a little bit and the ground was real uneven so i couldn’t compensate for injured toe and walk flat or on the side of my foot. Several times i had to balance myself on my injured foot and therefore put stress on my toe. And trying to stay off of it and climb/hike means my lower back kills. But it was super fun and really worth it. i’d do it again.
After we got done jumping, my friend amy and i went back to the woods to change out of our wet suits, on the way back, amy wanted to scream and pretend we saw a snake to see what the boys would do. Our good friend Jonathan (classic gentlemanly good ‘ole outdoorsie boy from arkansas) immediately started hiking towards us and picking up big sticks on the way with which to kill the snake (so cute right?). Then the other boys headed out towards us too. Amy and I were “frozen with fear” and didn’t want to walk back so the boys made a wall of people so we could walk behind them and they’d “protect” us from the snake. Ha! it was adorable.
After driving back I made dinner for everyone. Earlier this week, while planning today, jonathan and i decided that i’d make apple crisp tonight… today, that quickly turned into making dinner. We had a whole homemade meal. I made mashed potatoes, fresh green beans, and apple crisp, and jonathan made brocoli bake. And then we bought some kfc. (i thought this was funny…. a whole homemade meal and a big box of fried chicken) Even so, it was yummy. And a lot of fun. I want more weekends like this one.

W played pin the tail on the donkey…. and there was a table to make our own cupcakes…. well decorate our own cupcakes. Here’s mine. i was trying to make it as obnoxious as possible. =)
